Altered Book Basics

Course number : 2407
« back to classes page
An “altered book” is a book that has been changed from its original state to something different, in this case, an art journal. Journaling serves many purposes – a creative outlet, means of meditation, “therapy” to process difficult or challenging events, and of course, to have fun!  Working in an altered book adds a wonderful dimension to journaling. Join us to learn to safely remove pages, strengthen them to hold up to a variety of mediums, prep pages for art “play” and then start the process for art journaling. Material list - Scissors, glue sticks, small paint brush, pencil, eraser and waterproof black pen. Student must supply extra materials listed on confirmation.
