Open new doors to traditional watercolor painting. We will use oriental rice papers, acrylics, metallic permanent marker, gesso and more to stretch creativity and skills. No previous experience required. This workshop will get beginners started and give advanced painters lots of new information.

Please read:  Watercolor Workshop Material List Email or call instructor at 805-295-6690 if you have questions pertaining to the class or material list. gayle@grappaport.com. BRUSHES: #2 bristle brush; 1 inch square or flat aquarelle; 2" pastry brush or 2 inch flat brush or hake; #4 rigor/script/liner brush; #10 round brush palette knife. PIGMENTS: Grumbacher/Winsor Newton/American Journey Primary colors: Red,Yellow,Blue and Sepia. Bring the colors you love. PAPERS: 140 lb or 300 lb DeArcher’s acid free watercolor paper (available to purchase at class) PALETTE: white with sections for painting and mixing EXTRAS: 2 water containers, toothbrush, toilet paper, table salt, paint rag, masking tape, , kneaded eraser, HB pencil, small piece of sponge, , small soap and Masonite Board. Please bring a blow dryer to class if you have one. Think out of the box . Bring anything you may want to try. • Pick one to buy so we can all share: mica flakes, string gel, fiber paste, white opaque flakes, or black lava. (I will have many items to share.)
