Spend the day at the Oakland Zoo, home to more than 600 native and exotic birds, mammals, reptiles and amphibians. This amazing park is located in the beautiful suburban Oakland Hills, and was voted second best in the state, save for the legendary San Diego Zoo. See every animal imaginable - giraffes, elephants, zebras, monkeys and birds as well as the indoor reptile center. Learn about animals that live the Rain Forest and take a trip through the African Village. See the new and exciting exhibit, California Trail, that will engage you in the exploration of our state's natural past, present and future. Ride the newly opened gondola for a birds’ eye view of this 525 acre zoo. Dine in their many cafes, including newly opened restaurant. Register by September 25, 2017; call for availability after that date.
