Don’t be a victim! We’ll examine how people can control their environment and prevent crime in their home, vehicle and workplace, and keep themselves safe while walking, jogging, shopping, dating and traveling. It will also cover criminal psychology and behavior, common methods of criminal operation, self and situational assessment, and awareness skill development. Although the course is not physical in nature, it will include some demonstrations and scenarios, and will discuss self-defense principles, response options for assault situations, the laws and liability associated with self-defense, and the importance of using force that is reasonable and appropriate.
